                And if you were to choose a hybrid family car?

                Dacia family range - hybrid family car
                The Dacia family car range includes petrol, bi-fuel petrol-LPG and hybrid (petrol-electric) vehicles.

                Each of these engines has its own advantages in terms of practicality, performance, fuel consumption and range. As far as the hybrid is concerned, it can prove to be an interesting choice in terms of:
                • savings in use, as a hybrid family car will consume less fuel than its 100% internal combustion equivalent;
                • driving comfort, since you will benefit from the flexibility and dynamism of this powertrain during electric driving phases;
                • ecology, with a hybrid vehicle emitting less CO₂ (while on the road) than its internal combustion equivalent.

                your questions about the family cars

                What criteria should you take into account when buying a family car?
                The criteria for choosing a family car can vary depending on the family’s composition and needs. As a general rule, the most important criteria are:
                • the space and habitability to comfortably accommodate all passengers, adults and children alike
                • boot volume
                • modular seating to adapt space to current needs
                • safety for both the driver and the passengers, with features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance and
                  ISOFIX mountings for children’s seats
                • typical comfort: good suspension, comfortable seats and a well soundproofed cabin make travel more pleasant.
                • the choice of engine, which must be adapted to the vehicle's use, to the type of journey (city, road, mountain) and to the transport of several passengers with their luggage, for example.
                Thus, choosing your family car comes down to finding the right balance between space, safety, comfort, engine options and budget.
                What safety equipment is generally expected on a family car?
                The equipment generally considered essential in a recent family car to protect occupants (adults and children) and to prevent accidents is:
                • Multiple airbags (front, side, curtain)
                • Isofix fastenings and locking of openings while driving
                • Seatbelt reminder
                • ABS (anti-lock braking system)
                • Emergency Brake Assist (AFU)
                • Automatic emergency braking (AEB) with detection of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists
                • Cruise control and speed limiter
                • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
                • Lane departure warning and lane keeping
                • Traffic sign recognition with speed alert
                • Emergency call button
                All the family vehicles Dacia are equipped with them.
                What are the advantages of a family car for multi-purpose use?
                A family car is designed to be used for a variety of purposes, and has a number of advantages for everyday life as well as for longer journeys:
                • spacious, adaptable interiors with large boots, ideal for carrying pushchairs, shopping, suitcases or larger items without sacrificing the comfort of the front seats.
                • enhanced comfort for long-distance travel (wide seats, better soundproofing, plenty of storage space...), which is just as valuable for daily commuting.
                • Enhanced safety, with a host of driving aids (emergency braking, parking assistance, blind spot detection) particularly useful for urban driving.
                Finally, there are family cars in various forms (estates, MPVs, SUVs, saloons) offering a wide choice to suit one’s needs.
                Which hybrid family car should you choose?
                Three family car models Dacia are available in hybrid version: Jogger, Bigster and Duster. None of them require manual recharging, since Dacia offers non-rechargeable hybrids (full hybrid) and mild hybrids, i.e. types of hybrid whose battery recharges automatically with electrical energy during the vehicle's deceleration and braking phases. (Only the full hybrid versions allow driving in 100% electric mode for part of the journeys.)
